PANEL SCHEDULE

FANDOM & INCLUSIVITY - SHINING EXAMPLES AND BLIND SPOTS
Friday June 24 - 2:45-3:45 PM

In many ways, fandom provides a safe space for fans to engage with creators and fellow fans. Currrent fandom has evolved and now includes people from various marginal communities, breaking the time old tradition of the straight-white-male fan. Panelists will discuss where this has been successful and areas that still require improvement.

Amanda Conner - Harley Quinn (DC Comics)
Jody Houser - Faith (Valiant)

J
arrett Williams - Super Pro KO (Oni Press)
Ananth Hirsh - Lucky Penny (Oni Press)

Yuko Ota - Lucky Penny (Oni Press)

Moderator: Ashley Kazyaka

That's it for Chapter 1 of Is This What You Wanted! So what's next?

We'll be posting dev stuff for Is This What You Wanted until the end of June (including an illustration by Yuko). In July, Yuko and I will be launching our next project (we'll post some teasers for that towards the end of the month).

Thanks for reading! I realize that this opening chapter covered a lot of ground and asked more questions than it answered, but I hope you're interested and will follow Is This What You Wanted as it migrates to its own website in July.

Can't wait to show you what's next!

WE'RE HAVING A LAST CHANCE SUPER SALE! Johnny Wander V1-3 are each discounted by $5(!!!), and our t-shirts and tote bags are marked down as well! Many of these t-shirts and totes are getting rotated out permanently! We've never done a sale like this before and we won't do it again any time soon, so if there's anything you've been eyeing but you put off picking up, now is the time!

We added an Event Schedule to the sidebar!

You can check it out on the righthand side of the page, just next to the comic. This is something we should have implemented years ago, and Erin at Hiveworks was nice enough to help us out. We'll be keeping it very up to date, but as always we'll be letting you know here in these blog posts as well.

Lucky Penny is on the list of YALSA Great Graphic Novels for Teens Nominations! So exciting!
