Hi everyone! We're back with another update!

Here's a peek at Percy, from the next season of BARBAROUS! This is a summer look for her. The shorts are tiger-striped, and Yuko paired it with sneakers with a color-matched detail. Red is a key color for her in this story arc, so you can expect reds in her looks overall. 

Yuko's currently thumbnailing the first chapter of Season 2! Clip Studio Paint has added an interesting dimension to our process, so we've been exploring that quite a lot. It's a big shift for Yuko-- both of us have been Photoshop users since we started working in comics. 

So what happens in the meantime? April's side story begins next week, and features Percy and Lumia, and will be drawn by Kat Fajardo with assists from Pablo Castro. We love both of their work, and are really excited to be collaborating with them. Definitely check them out!

THE JOHNNY WANDER STORE UPDATED!

The next Barbarous side story was written by us and drawn by Niki Foley! 

'Alterations' is about Percy and Leeds! Percy is altering Leeds' clothes, since he has a hard time getting a good fit. This comic was drawn by Niki Foley! Niki is a full-time animator and freelancer who has worked on a ton of fun stuff. You can find out more about Niki at her twitter!

The comic was also lettered by our long-time collaborator, Tess Stone (twitter / website)! He's lettering all of the short stories, a million thank-yous Tess!

Hi everyone! We're back with another update!

Last time we offered a look at Cecilia in the upcoming season of BARBAROUS! This time we've got Leeds. His shredded clothes will be back, but we wanted to open the next chapter showing some of Percy's influence rubbing off on him. His joggers that look a little more designer, and the deep V tee is meant to show off. 

As mentioned previously, I've scripted out the majority of Season 2 and collected many of the references we'll need. Yuko's been diving into design and pre-production, and also exploring some new tools in Clip Studio Paint. I'm likewise training up on aspects of Clip Studio myself, to assist in writing and thumbnailing more clearly. 

So what happens in the meantime? In March and April we'll be running two more side stories. March's story will feature Percy and Leeds and will be drawn by Niki Foley. April's story will feature Percy and Lumia, and will be drawn by Kat Fajardo. We're really big fans of both of their work, and are really excited to be collaborating with them. After working through a lot of freelance the past few months, I'm happy to say we are well into development for Season 2 of BARBAROUS! I've scripted out the majority of it and gathered up many of the references we'll need, and Yuko's been diving into design and pre-production.
